Philanthropication thru Privatization, A New Route to Building Charitable Endowments: The Take-Off Phase
The PtP Project convened the second in a series of conferences sponsored by the Volkswagen Foundation to explore the potentials for addressing pressing public problems through Philanthropication thru Privatization, or PtP. “Philanthropication thru Privatization, A New Route to Building Charitable Endowments: The Take-Off Phase,” was sponsored by the Volkswagen Foundation and was held in Hannover Germany from November 3-4, 2016.
The conference was an opportunity to review progress to date and set the path for the next three years of project work. The 2016 conference focused on the prospects for applying the PtP concept in the context of particular asset clusters, and provided an occasion to review the work that is under way on a series of “How-To” booklets examining how the PtP concept can be applied to these various asset classes.
The agenda for the conference shown below highlights these aspects of the event. Several speakers have been kind enough to allow us to post their presentations or remarks; you can download these documents by clicking on the links in the embedded document.
