Bartek Pieliński is an Associate Professor at the University of Warsaw’s Institute of Social Policy. Here he has taken part in several research projects dedicated to the role of civil society in the Polish social policy. He also works at the Korczakowska Foundation, an organization dedicated to the promotion of Janusz Korczak’s legacy.
Pieliński earned his PhD in Political Science at the University of Warsaw. Based on his research, he published various articles in a number of Polish journals. Most recently in 2013, he published a book devoted to the development of welfare state in East Asia, titled Between Japan and Singapore: The development of social policy in East Asia.
Pieliński’s current areas of interest include the institutional dimensions of social policy, ranging from welfare state models to the role of co-production in contemporary social policy.
